Why Join?
NRVBA’s mission is to create a better community through and for bicycling. We offer something for everyone, regardless of whether you are a recreational cyclist, an avid rider looking for a sporting challenge, or a bike commuter. We also realize that without a voice in the political issues that affect cyclists, we’ll have nowhere to ride – so, we’ll represent.

- Bike Travel Cases – Going on a trip? Need to take your bike? Borrow the bike travel cases with this reservation form.
- Member’s Only Discounts at Local Bike Shops
- Bike Barn – Members receive a 15% discount for parts and accessories and a 20% discount on clothing. Labor and bikes are not included.
- East Coasters – Members receive a 15% discount for parts and accessories and a 20% discount on clothing. Labor and bikes are not included.
- Hokie Spokes/New Wheel (Radford) – Members receive a 10% discount on everything but sale items.
- Pulaski Bikes – Members receive 15% everything except labor and bikes (some sale items excluded as well).
- Radford Bike & Paddle Shop – Members receive a 15% discount for parts and accessories and a 20% discount on clothing. Labor and bikes are not included.
- Starlight Bicycles (Roanoke) – Members receive 10% off bikes, parts & accessories (in stock and special orders).
- Winter Spin Classes at The Weight Club – Join NRVBA each Sunday at 1 p.m. during the winter for spin classes.
- Participation in Programs - We offer programs other than just rides. We offer grand tour watching parties, film screenings, talks on nutrition and travel, and much more.
How to Join!
All memberships begin January 1st of each year and expire on December 31st. Applications will be accepted throughout the year, however full membership dues must be paid regardless of start date.
FAMILY – $20.00
SINGLE – $15.00
Two Payment Options:
- Download a membership form and mail with payment
- Join through PayPal ($1 is added to cover service charges)
PAYPAL: You don’t need a PayPal account to use this option. Once you click “Add to Cart” you will be redirected to the PayPal website. Then just click on “Continue Checkout” on the lower left side of the page, and you can pay with a credit card without creating an account.
